Last Minute Renn Faire Fit
Last year in 2022, I went to my first-ever Renaissance Faire. It was love at first sight and shortly after, I went to two more that same year! I grew up hearing of renn faires and stuff like larping etc. but never looked into it and figured it wasn’t for me. You see, nobody I grew up with was nerdy or fun like that; so when I started streaming on Twitch, a whole new side of me came out that had been in deep hibernation. I am in my nerd girl era, and loving it!
I had planned to be in Los Angeles for work around the same time that the Renaissance Pleasure Faire was happening and it looked like it would be an awesome experience.
But this was a last-minute birthday gift to myself, and I didn’t want to go to my first Renn Faire dressed in normal clothes — where is the fun in that? I went on Etsy to support independent artists but the turnaround time was too long. I screwed up! I scoured the internet and again, the shipping times would ensure I flew to LA empty-handed and underdressed.
Luckily for me, the parent company of Twitch has decent shipping. And now, I’ve done all the leg work so that you don’t have to! My last-minute Renn Faire outfit recommendations are just below.
Oh, and sure enough, my first Renaissance Faire was a blast! Seeing all the entertainers, stalls of artisan goods, drinking mead, witnessing (mostly) everyone in costume, and the general glee and delight of everyone around us filled me with joy.
The weather was great, and the buzz was even better.
